Item consists of a photograph: b&w portrait of UFA MLA William Farquharson.
Administrative History
William Farquharson moved to the Provost area in 1908. Farquharson ran as a UFA candidate in the 1922 by-election in the electoral district of Ribstone, winning the seat. He retained the seat in the elections of 1926 and 1930, but lost the seat the Social Credit candidate Albert Blue in 1935. In 1944 Farquharson sold his farm, moved to Provost and operated North Star Bulk Oil Station and a bowling alley.
