Administrative History
Gordon Forster was born near Hamilton, Ontario and moved to the Cessford area as a child in 1904. Forster ran as a UFA candidate in the 1921 Alberta general election in the electoral district of Hand Hills, winning the seat. He retained his seat in the 1926 and 1930 elections and retired from provincial politics with the dissolution of the assembly in 1935. He was very active in pressing for an irrigation system for the Hanna-Brooks area. Forster was very active in pressing for an irrigation system for the Hanna-Brooks area.
