Administrative History
Samuel Carson was born in Ontario ca. 1870, and moved to the Namao area where his father had bought land ca. 1883. Carson ran as a UFA candidate in the 1921 Alberta general election, defeating incumbent Liberal John Boyle. Carson won the seat again in 1926 and 1930, and retired from politics in 1935. Carson was a trustee and later chairman on the Namao school district for thirty years.
