Text of the reports given by the Board of Directors and the Central Co-operative Association to the thirty-eighth annual convention, January 1947 for the year 1946. Includes the Presidential Address, the U.F.W.A. President's Address, and the Junior U.F.A. President's address. Another booklet lists the resolutions passed at the convention, with an additional sheet of passed resolutions omitted from the booklet. The Draft Constitution, Reorganized Alberta Federation of Agriculture is in the Reports and Addresses booklet.

The fonds consists of minutes, correspondence, reports, newsletters, brochures, pamphlets, and briefs of the Alberta Co-operative Union.
Administrative History
The Alberta Co-operative Union was formed in 1947 for the purpose of coordinating the activities of cooperative enterprises in Alberta; educating the public on the advantages of cooperative economic organization; and advocating for legislation supportive of the cooperative sector. It was affiliated with the Co-operative Union of Canada. In 1958 it suspended its activities. It was a predecessor of the Farmers' Union and Co-operative Development Association, which formed in 1959.
Custodial History
The records were retained by Doug Thornton, an employee of UFA Co-op and member of the Alberta Co-operative Union Board of Directors.
