This file contains an invitation to the 1980 Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame Awards Presentations from the Honourable Dallas W. Schmidt, Minister of Agriculture; and a handwritten letter from Hans, the District 12 Director of the Farmer's Union of Alberta from Twin Butte, to Milton and Myrtle Ward. The lack of unity between the Alberta Federation of Agriculture, the Farmers Union of Alberta and the National Farmers' Union is addressed in the letter.

The file consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence of senior executives of United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative, such as the General Manager (title changed to Chief Executive Officer in 1983; to President and Chief Executive Officer in 1993), Treasurer, Controller, and Corporate Secretary (title changed to Chief Governance Officer ca. 2004). Includes memoranda, speeches, reports, organization chart, and notes on informal communications. The series can be considered comprehensive only for part of the term of General Manager Bill McCartney (1972-1979) and for part of the term of Treasurer R.B. Ward (1972-1976).
The file includes draft agreements with governments and co-operative enterprises for refinancing of Co-op Implements; reports summarizing and analyzing the refinancing plan; related resolutions passed at the Co-op Implements Annual Meeting; comments by solicitors; correspondence; and notes by Jim Johnson or other UFA Co-op staff member.
