The Canadian Girls Rodeo Association is primarily active in the rodeo sport of barrel racing. Its annual Futurity and Derby was held in Claresholm, Alberta for several years.
The file consists of Lawrence Proudfoot's farewell talk to farm supply managers, and a note to UFA Co-op's History Co-ordinator from Betty Proudfoot mentioning his involvement on the UFA curling club.
Administrative History
Lawrence Proudfoot, 1921-1994, a nephew of MLA Lorne Proudfoot, was president of the Junior Section of the U.F.A. in 1946. He began working at the U.F.A. Central Co-op office in 1947, initially in public relations, but soon transferred to the Petroleum Division. He was Manager of the Petroleum Division from 1964 to 1987.

Administrative History
The Information Service Division was formed in 1963. It published magazines and newsletters for members, managed Delegates' Advisory Committee meetings, and organized promotional events and programs throughout UFA Co-op's trading area. In 1987 it became the Public Relations Department of the Communications Division. In 1993 it became Member Relations, a Department reporting to the Corporate Secretary. One of its major functions was administration of the Community Investment program, which expanded rapidly in the 1990s. In 2008 Member Relations was a function of the Corporate and Customer Communications Team. In 2010 this group was renamed Member and Customer Experience and the Member Relations representatives were renamed Member Experience Representatives. In 2011 the mandate of the department was to: provide support and services to internal business units from a marketing perspective, to work with all of UFA's partners through the Generations of Support program, as well as support members through the call centre and data management department.
This file consists of printed programs for sport activities sponsored by UFA co-op or featuring advertising by UFA Co-opin 2004 : Calgary Polo Club, East West Chapter Combined Driving Trials (Lloydminster), Northern Extreme Freestyle Ski Competition (Nitehawk Ski Area, Grande Prairie), Viking Cup International Hockey Tournament (Camrose and Wetaskiwin) and a digital scan of an advertisement originally placed on the back cover of the 1982 Gymkhana Finals program.

Jim Bryden of Mannville ran the UFA Heavy Horse Hitch until his farm dispersal sale in 1995. He passed away in 2006.
The series consists of correspondence and budgets relating to UFA Co-op's Community Investment program; and thank-you correspondence, printed programs of sponsored events with promotional adverstising, and photographs documenting its contributions. The materials were mostly created or collected by the Member Relations department.
Administrative History
Local cooperatives and petroleum agencies provided financial support to community activities as early as 1937, when the Maple Leaf petroleum agency in Cereal, Alberta provided uniforms with hand-made patches for the Cereal Maple Leafs, a women's baseball team. As UFA Co-op prospered in the late 1980s, it began to allocate increasing budgetary amounts to its charitable program, known as "Community Investment". The program was administered by the Member Relations department. Delegates were also allocated budgets to support charitable causes of their choosing. Among other things, UFA Co-op supported scholarships for agriculture students, 4-H and other programs for rural youth, livestock shows and competitions, farm safety day camps for children, rodeo and chuckwagon organizations and competitors, horse teams that participated in local parades, children's and youths' sports teams in small communities, and medical research.
