The file consists of the UFA Co-op membership card of the Municipal District of Paintearth No. 53.
Administrative History
The Municipal District of Paintearth No. 334, located in east-central Alberta surrounding the town of Castor, was formed in 1944 from the amalgamation of the Municipal Districts of Coronation and Progress and part of the Municipal District of Stocks. In 1945 it was renumbered No. 53. In 1962 it became the County of Paintearth No. 18. In the 1950s it was a member and customer of the United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative Ltd.
The file contains a lien agreement with the petroleum agent, Metro Towpich, and a release for settlement of a claim from a contractor, Eric L. Sharpe.
