Administrative History
The Board of Directors is the governing body of the United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative. It was originally composed of 7 Directors, each representing a District and elected from among the Delegates representing the Sub-Districts of the UFA Co-op trading area. In 2008 the number of Directors was changed to 12, elected at large from among the Delegates. The Directors elect from among themselves an Executive Committee consisting of a President and two (originally one) Vice-Presidents.
Custodial History
The 1964-1973 minutes were accumulated by Director Andrew Silver and donated by Ken Hoppins.

Administrative History
Clover Bar was a farming district in Strathcona County, just east of the city of Edmonton, Alberta. A local organization of the United Farmers of Alberta, Clover Bar U.F.A. Local No. 90, existed before 1915. East Clover Bar U.F.A Local No. 3 and Clover Bar U.F.W.A. Local No. 40 were the local organizations in 1930. By 1951 Clover Bar F.U.A. Local No. 608 was established. In 1970 it became the Clover Bar Unifarm Local 6208. Apparently it became inactive around 1975.
The file consists of correspondence, reports and minutes received by UFA Co-op, as a member of the Advisory Committee and Co-op Investors Group of Canadian Co-operative Implements Ltd.
The file consists of materials for the thirty-first annual meeting of Federated Co-operatives Limited, which took place in Saskatoon on January 19, 1960. Records in this file include: annual report for 1959, prospectus, president's report, minutes.
The fonds consists of Bylaws (1961 and 1964 versions), prospectus (1960), annual reports (for 1959-1961, 1963, 1964), president's address (1960, 1961), financial reports (1960, 1961, 1966), notice of annual meeting (1965), and annual meeting minutes (1960, 1967).
Administrative History
Federated Co-operatives Ltd. (FCL) was formed in 1928 to provide services to local consumer co-ops in Saskatchewan. In 1944 it amalgamated with Consumers Co-operative Refineries Ltd. (founded 1934 in Regina) and in 1955 it amalgamated with Manitoba Co-operative Wholesale Ltd. A further amalgamation with Alberta Co-operative Wholesale Association in 1961 resulted in an organization active in a territory from northwestern Ontario to British Columbia. In addition to its wholesaling, warehousing and marketing services to co-ops, it operated retail outlets, sawmills, a coal mine, a petroleum refinery, petroleum exploration properties, feed mills, a fertilizer plant, a chemicals complex, and Western Co-op College. It was headquartered in Saskatoon.

The items were collected by officers of UFA Co-op who attended annual meetings of Federated Co-operatives Ltd.
The fonds consists of the minute books of Hiram U.F.A. Local No. 240, including financial and membership records, and miscellaneous receipts and handbills.
Administrative History
The Bently U.F.A. Local No. 240 was founded in 1919, in a district near Coronation, Alberta. By 1926 its name had changed to Hiram U.F.A. Local No. 240. Throughout its history it had about 20 to 30 members. It was still active in 1949.
The fonds consists of the minute book kept by the Innisfail U.F.A. Local No. 10 in the years 1916-1921, with attendance rolls (1916-1917).
Administrative History
Innisfail U.F.A. Local No. 178 had its organizational meeting on March 31, 1916. Later that year it was redesignated as Local No. 10. It disbanded sometime before 1966.

Donated by Jim Watt, manager of UFA Co-op Member Relations Department, 2003.
The file consists of minutes of a special meeting to nominate a candidate for the Legislative Assembly (1921); and a list of members promising to purchase shares in a proposed co-op store (1922).

The Kerndale U.F.A. Local No. 775, located in the district of Kerndale near the village of Berwyn in the Peace River region of Alberta, was founded in 1918. It became inactive in 1941.

The fonds had been in the possession of Jim and Eileen Allan.
The file includes notes on nominations and elections of officers. The accompanying envelope is postmarked 1947. A second document consists of minutes of a meeting on July 2. It was found in the same folder as a letter dated April 1947.
