This file consists of the photographs and textual records from a scrapbook of the inaugural Summer Agricultural Education Institute. Lethbridge Community College hosted the institute August 7-17, 1990.
The United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative was the main sponsor of the Summer Agricultural Education Institute. In 1990 UFA Co-op committed $60,000 over a four-year period to go towards providing food, tuition and accommodation for up to 30 teachers each year. The Institue was designed, taught and credited by the University of Lethbridge with the objective of helping Alberta teachers and their students become more aware of agricultural issues. The Institute was credited at a graduate level.
File consists of photographs of a mini expo for educators of the "Ag in the Classroom" program held in Lethbridge. The program was sponsored by UFA and taught the importance of agriculture, as well as the diverse career opportunities available in the industry. Member Experience Representative Wayne Johnson and Director Henry Konynenbelt were in attendance.
