Administrative History
The Junior Branch of the United Farmers of Alberta, also known as the Junior U.F.A., was formed in 1919 at the initiative of the United Farm Women of Alberta. It was an organization of young men and women from farm families in their teens and early twenties. It operated in accordance with a constitution similar to that of the U.F.A. It was involved in training its members in agricultural and household skills, and in leadership skills such as public speaking. In 1949, upon the formation of the Farmers' Union of Alberta, it became the Junior F.U.A.
